The typical back yard contains 10 times the
amount of energy needed to heat and cool your
home throughout the year, and it is constantly
replenished by the sun and the surrounding
earth.
The Department of Energy lists Geothermal as the
most efficient and readily available source of
energy.
A One Stop Solution for Geothermal Heating and Cooling
What’s the downside? Until now, home
and business owners were left to negotiate a
maze of options on their own, purchasing
drilling services from one company and
installation services from another, all while
struggling with the tax credit and grant
applications.
But at Advanced Geo Solutions, we do it all.

What is a Geothermal Heating and Cooling
System?
Geothermal
means “heat of the earth.” It’s right beneath
your feet, in your backyard, and ready to heat
and cool your home year round. To tap that
energy, a drilling rig makes vertical holes
(approximately 4” in diameter) from 100 to 250
feet deep on your property. A double pipe
connected with a U bend is inserted into each
hole and secured with enhanced, thermally
conductive grout. In operation, a special heat
transfer fluid circulates through the piping and
transfers heat in the direction needed for the
season.
How does it heat and cool? Geothermal units use
some of the same principles found in your
refrigerator. Where a refrigerator removes heat
from its interior and vents it as hot air out of
the back of the fridge, a Geothermal system
removes heat from your home and transfers it to
the earth. When heating, the cycle is
reversed. The warm earth releases its heat into
the cool geothermal loop, and that heat is drawn
into your home.
The principals are simple; it is the technology
which has now reached levels of stunning
efficiency and practicality. Studies show the
average home or small business can achieve
energy savings of up to 70% for heating and
cooling.
