InWestmoreland welcomes the Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau to our family of businesses and services. The Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau is the Official Tourism Promotion Agency for Fayette, Somerset, and Westmoreland Counties. The Visitors Bureau promotes tourism and the travel and hospitality industries in the Laurel Highlands region.

Spending attributed to travelers amounts to over $366 million dollars annually in Westmoreland County alone. If so many people find Westmoreland County an irresistible summer retreat, then you too can enjoy great, exciting vacations right in your own backyard!

“According to the Travel Industry Association, 88% of Americans are going to travel this summer,” explained Julie Donovan, Laurel Highlands’ Public Relations Manager. “Trends show that more and more Americans are using their vacations to visit small towns and rural areas. What better place than Westmoreland County in the beautiful Laurel Highlands to visit!”

To promote the Laurel Highlands as the perfect spot for a nearby vacation in 2003, the Visitors Bureau designed the Stay, Play, and Getaway Guide.
