Café Supreme and Pizza
Supreme, located at 200 Main Street in downtown
Irwin, PA are no strangers to awards. Over the
years their attention to friendly service and
quality food has earned them many kudos from the
public, including winning votes for the Number
One Pizza, Hamburger, and Italian Food in the
Norwin area. As frequent customers, the
InWestmoreland staff can attest to the quality
of these award winning dishes, but our vote
might go to the superb garlic butter wings.
For many, Café Supreme is a home away from home,
a family style restaurant that is family owned
and family run. Owners Kris and Sheri Aley have
invested and continue to invest a great deal of
time and effort to make Café Supreme a jewel of
the Irwin community. Their attention to detail
pays off on many levels, from the wait staff
that makes you feel as if this is your hometown
restaurant to the excellent chefs who never fail
to deliver great food. Built on this solid
foundation, Café Supreme has been able to expand
to full service catering and, in their on-site
banquet facility known as Café Down Under, the
hosting of private parties, weddings, and
weekend bands.
At Pizza Supreme, the emphasis is on pizza,
subs, and salads. Fast home delivery is
available in a limited area, and the daily
specials are worth coming in for. When asked for
her personal favorite, Pizza Shop Manager
Stephanie Stape didn’t hesitate before
proclaiming the White Pizza the best, lightly
brushed with imported olive oil, fresh tomato,
garlic, and a blend of four cheeses. You might
also try their locally famous Wedding Soup or
the homemade Soup du Jour (which offers
something different every day of the month,
including everything from Crab Bisque to Pasta
Fagol). Southwest Chicken Salad, Beer Battered
Fish, and delicious Reuben Wraps make up but a
sampling of the many other luncheon choices
available.
For a leisurely dinner, Café Supreme is the
place. Their stuffed chicken breast, prepared
fresh daily with homemade gravy, is a specialty,
but you might also try the more exotic Louisiana
Shrimp Pasta, featuring jumbo shrimp sautéed in
a butter lager sauce over pasta. From steaks and
pasta to seafood, chicken, and veal, all dinner
entrees are reasonably priced and include
potato, vegetable of the day, and house salad or
Caesar salad, with your choice of dressing &
Bread du Jour. Of course, it is always advisable
to save room for dessert.
For those seeking special discounts and a bit of
personal attention, Café Supreme has a Frequent
Diners Club. The goal of the club is to offer
discounts and specials via email, with an
emphasis on providing great deals for your
birthday or that upcoming anniversary.
Those who enjoy their evenings kicked up a notch
can participate in Wednesday’s Karaoke night, or
you might call to see when the next hot band
will be featured at Café Down Under.
A growing part of the business these days is
Supreme Catering. “We do parties from 10 to
500,” explained Banquet and Restaurant Manager
Kathy Hydak. “We can arrange for wonderful
parties here on the premises, or set up at your
location. We travel from Latrobe to Murrysville
and on into Pittsburgh, even providing for a
chef to carve on site, or a bartender as
necessary. Café Supreme also partners with a
number of facilities, such as fire halls, in
order to bring our best to your local area.”
They have catered everything from the opening of
a new Dollar Bank to the usual wide range of
celebrations: cocktail parties, surprise parties
and private functions, weddings, showers,
rehearsal dinners, picnics, banquets, birthdays,
graduations, anniversaries, and more. They have
even been trusted to provide their tasteful best
on the occasion of funerals. So whether you need

wedding packages in 2004,” Kathy concluded.
