the display area and kitchen, where Linda Earnest and her staff are hard at work, and you may well think you have stepped back in time to an age when food was prepared
fresh by skilled culinary artisans, and you have!
It is impossible to make a single choice with selections such as Emerald Salad with Orange Hazelnut Vinaigrette, Old Bay & Crab Slaw, and Mediterranean Chopped Salad.
Specialty sandwiches abound, such as a grilled portabella mushroom on a fresh-baked croissant with roasted red peppers, provolone cheese, and herbed mayonnaise. But
best of all, come in for a sandwich truly prepared your way, from a mouthwatering selection of breads, meats, cheeses, and garnishes. It will compliment the homemade
soup.
Browse the shelves while you wait, you won’t be disappointed. There are Caravali hand roasted coffees, Guylian Belgian chocolate seashells, Decadent Dippers, and
Moravian sugar cookies. Also available are soups, as well as fresh and frozen hors d’oeurves.
Of course, the Earnest Gourmet provides catering for business meetings, parties, and receptions, with menus ranging from hors d’oeurves to full-course meals. The
Poached Salmon and Beef Tenderloins come highly recommended.
The Earnest Gourmet is no newcomer to the local culinary scene. Linda Earnest and her partner Margaret DiVirgilio founded the shop over 12 years ago with the goal of
