Entrepreneur Candy Valentino Nelson of Platinum Salon and Spa is combining her
current business with two new ventures that are sure to delight residents of
Westmoreland County and beyond.

Seven on Third is the first, a unique jewelry boutique located within
Platinum Salon and Spa in Youngwood, on Third Street. Seven on Third
offers its customers a new way to express themselves through creativity and
design in crafting various styles of jewelry and accessories that are truly your
own. Instead of the standard lines that other jewelry boutiques carry,
Seven on Third offers a whole new bold attitude and energy sure to make you feel
unique and creative.
Cafe in the Planning for 2012
What makes this new addition to Platinum Salon and Spa even more exciting is
that in 2012 the entire building will be remodeled to offer not only the spa
services and jewelry boutique, but will have a cafe, locker room, and treatment
area. This all-inclusive "mini resort" brings new meaning to the word
luxury. As with all of her other endeavors, Candy is always on the cutting
edge.
Seven on Third seemed like a natural progression because customer service is
a main priority at Platinum Salon and Spa. Candy realized customers wanted a
boutique that offered new styles of jewelry. Energy and creativity always
comes first to Candy and then she finds exceptional products to enhance the
lifestyle of her customers.
"Customers were looking for something different because all of the local
boutiques carry the same products and lines. One customer in particular,
Doris Santone, requested that we carry Kameleon. She had experienced it
during a visit to the beach and was interested in seeing more of it," said
Candy.
Kameleon Jewelry and JewelPops
Because
Candy had known Doris since the Platinum Salon and Spa opened 11 years ago, she
took her advice into consideration and things just grew from there. The
Kameleon jewelry line features JewelPops, interchangeable pieces made from 925
sterling silver and high quality gems.
What makes the line so unique is that all of the pieces are interchangeable.
Once a customer buys the base of a ring, bracelet, pins, earring or necklace,
they can pop out the jewel and interchange it with any JewelPop piece. You
can change the look of your jewelry to match your outfit or another piece of
jewelry. It's fun and simple.
"It's really a unique line with high quality and is very versatile," said
Candy.
Seven on Third is considered a Kameleon "Diamond" dealer, and so they have a
large selection of pieces. In addition, Seven on Third is the only
retailer within a 30-mile radius that carries the popular JewelPops.
Chamilia Jewelry
Seven
on Third also carries a bead line known as Chamilia. Chamilia jewelry
offers a remarkably inventive system of interchangeable jewelry, giving you the

These two lines, Kameleon and Chamilia, are just the beginning of what is to
come at Seven on Third. Originally named for Candy's seven wonderful
canine companions and the fact that the store is located on Third Street in
Youngwood, soon Seven on Third will mean seven different product lines,
including purses, cards, and gifts.
To the best of our knowledge, there will not be another local business so
comprehensive in meeting the needs of any woman looking for a relaxing and
indulgent experience.
Once the salon is complete, clients will be able to check in early, dress in
a robe, and visit the cafe and shop! The cafe will take on a vegan
approach where customers will be able to eat cruelty free and the chef has a
high knowledge of health and nutrition. Therefore, clients can eat a salad
and have a smoothie before enjoying a quality spa experience. The building
is currently 3,000 square feet and it will double to 6,000 square feet to make
room for all of the improvements.
Mark your calendars now for November 7 for a Holiday Martini Party that will
promote specials for services. Clients can purchase from seven services at
$25 a piece. In addition to the services at the salon, there will be
promotions at Seven and Third for our exceptional Kameleon and Chamilia jewelry
lines.
Animal Friends of Westmoreland
In addition to owning and operating these two businesses, Candy is also
founder and president of The Animal Friends of Westmoreland. It is a no-kill
shelter that helps abandoned and homeless animals. Candy has donated an 8,500
square foot building to the organization and is serving as Chairperson who
organizes numerous fundraisers and events of which some are held at Platinum
Salon and Spa.
