The cool nights,
warm days, and
the beauty of
the fall season
will soon be
upon us. With
this comes the
fall flowers.
Mums, pansies,
and dahlias are
blooming, the
leaves are
changing to
brilliant reds
and golds,
acorns are
dropping to the
ground, pumpkins
and gourds are
ready to
harvest, and the
Indian corn is
available in
abundance. All
of this natural
beauty means you
can decorate
your home from
your back yard.
These natural
ingredients
along with some
floral foam, a
few picks, and a
nice iron
container are
all you need for
a beautiful
natural
centerpiece.
Gather leaves,
gourds, and
ornamental
cabbage and then
you can combine
them with some
viburnum
berries,
sunflowers and a
small bunch of
bittersweet.
When styling
your fall table
keep in mind
three key
elements:
height, color,
and texture.
Starting with
your surface,
create a feeling
of warmth by
layering two
different colors
and two
different sizes
of tablecloths.
Next, vary the
heights of your
serving pieces
by using
trivets, iron
holders, and
chargers.
Finally, add
some color and
texture with
your natural
elements.
Scatter small
pumpkins and
nuts or leaves
and gourds. Not
so many that you
clutter, just
enough to
compliment.
You can’t go
wrong with all
the colors of
the fall in your
home. This fall,
the Acanthus
Votive
Centerpiece can
be found in the
fall catalog of
