e-Auction House

Over the last few years eBay has grown in popularity. This online market that allows people to buy and sell a wide range of items to people all over the world and can be done from the comfort of home.

Many people become intrigued with eBay, but are not sure how to go about selling on eBay. That is where the e-Auction House comes in. The e-Auction House is an eBay consignment shop that allows people to post items for sale without any of the hassle.

“Some people are not computer savvy and some just don’t have the time,” said owner Mary Lynn Seremet. “People can basically bring their items to us and we take care of everything for them.”

How e-Auction House works is that you personally bring the item you wish to sell into the store. Then you need to decide whether you want a photo taken, what payment methods you would like to accept, and the length of time you want something posted.

“We tell people up front whether things will sell or not,” said Mary Lynn. “We don’t want to waste their time or ours.”

So what sells on eBay? Everything from used clothing and collectibles to antiques and memorabilia. Customers do have to take into consideration how much an item weighs so that it is worth shipping it out. Once an item is sold it is shipped immediately.

E-Auction House has a lot of experience in this type of field. Mary Lynn has done research, read reference books, and has friends who are involved with antiques that can help her value an item.

According to Mary Lynn, a comparison was done with several items that were sold at a garage sale as opposed to selling them on eBay and the overall profit was 800% more by selling on eBay. “The reason for the discrepancy is because you have expanded your buyer base to the world,” said Mary Lynn.

E-Auction House hours are Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 10-3 and 6-8, Friday and Saturday from 10-3. To contact E-Auction call 724-836-SOLD (7653). E-Auction House is located along Route 30 in Oakley Park across from Toyota of Greensburg.
