Most people know that chiropractors help with back and neck problems.
People in auto accidents often benefit from chiropractic treatment. Even
minor fender-benders can cause soft tissue damage. Left untreated, this
damage may cause prolonged chronic pain and possible arthritis. Early
intervention is best.
In addition to back and neck problems, chiropractic treatment helps with
chronic pain, sports injuries, and carpal tunnel too.

Experience:
Dr. Shafer has a wide range of experience. When completing an internship, he joined the staff of a major medical center that saw over 800 patients per week. Within two years, he rose to the position of Director of Chiropractic at the center. Within two more years, Dr. Shafer was also the Supervisor of Rehab and PT, managing the chiropractic care, rehab, and physical therapy of a wide range of patients. In these positions, Dr. Shafer gained experience with a variety of conditions that many chiropractors never encounter.
Another benefit of this experience is the range of doctors with which Dr. Shafer has worked, including: medical doctors, osteopaths, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, physical therapists, massage therapists, and dentists.

Facilities:
Our new office is conveniently located on Route 136 in Hempfield Township, right below the Shop N’ Save Plaza. Here we offer more than spinal adjustments, as our facilities are equipped with a room for physiotherapy, as well as physical therapeutic exercise and rehab. We also offer muscle stim, traction, and ultrasound. You won’t need to travel from one site where you had your spine adjusted to another for rehab. You can do it all in our office!
Education:
After achieving a Bachelor’s of Science from Palmer University, Dr.
Shafer graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic with a
Doctorate of Chiropractic. The study of chiropractic is rigorous.
Students attend many of the same classes as medical students.
To keep current with changes in technology, Dr. Shafer regularly attends
post-graduate classes. Some of the many classes he has attended include:

Dr. Shafer regularly reads the American Journal of Chiropractic and
the Journal of Manipulative Physical Therapeutic.
Dr. Shafer maintains membership in the PA Chiropractic Association.
