Relay For Life at Norwin is sponsoring a 2010 Calendar Raffle (like we did in 2008) as a Team Fundraiser. The Relay For Life at Norwin is part of the primary fundraiser event for the American Cancer Society (ACS) that supports the research and services that the ACS offers to cancer survivors and caregivers. I am sure you have heard of the American Cancer Society and the good work that the ACS does.

I am sure that all of you know or have heard of someone in your community that has cancer and the detestation that it causes. I Relay because I am concerned about the effect cancer has on my friends and neighbors.

Won't you help me in my fundraising efforts to see cancer wiped out in my lifetime by supporting my Relay Team by purchasing a calendar of two. The calendar is based on the Pennsylvania straight three-digit number drawn at 7:00 PM for the complete calendar year 2010. The minimum daily payout is $20.00 which is also the cost of the calendar. There are many days when the payout exceeds the $20.00 so if your special number hits once you get your investment back.

All you have to do is send me an email with the three-digit number you would like and I will let you know if it is available. If it is all you have to do is send your complete mailing address, phone number, and email address to me and pay the $20.00 and I will get your calendar to you (I can email it if you like so you can print it immediately).

If you have any questions, or need additional information, let me know.

Thank you in advance for your support of this worthy cause that I fully support.  For More Information E-mail:  DMartin471@aol.com.

Come and have fun!  Every game, event, and purchase made at the Relay for Life benefits cancer survivors.

Form a team to walk during the event and raise money through contributions to support the relay.

In 2008
Norwin's 4th Annual Relay for Life took place at the Norwin High School stadium July 19 and 20th.

Volunteers and teams are needed to help the American Cancer Society raise money for the fight against cancer, as well as raise cancer awareness in Westmoreland County. Anyone interested in volunteering to help, or who would like to become a team captain, is encouraged to participate. Your involvement with Relay For Life supports lifesaving American Cancer Society programs and services.

Up to 15 people on each team receive a Relay For Life T-Shirt and can win incentive prizes for raising certain levels of money.

At dusk on Saturday, the event stops for a special Luminary Service featuring bagged votives purchased in honor of someone that has conquered, is fighting, or has lost their battle with cancer. These votives burn throughout the night as an inspiration to all the participants.
