started to evolve. Duffy separated from his partner and started his own
business, "Security Settlements," in 1990 as an adjunct to his law practice. He
saw the growing need for real estate services and expanded his business to
accommodate those needs.
In addition to the real estate aspect of the law office, Duffy also
works on estates, wills, and partnership agreements. At this time Duffy does not
do litigation work because over three-quarters of his time is spent working with
real estate.
"I started my practice in North Huntingdon after growing up nearby
in White Oak. I have been living here for over 30 years and have seen the growth
that North Huntingdon has undergone. I enjoy this area and will continue to do
business here," said Duffy.
Duffy is an active member of the Westmoreland County community. He
currently is on the Board of Directors for the Norwin Chamber of Commerce and is
slated to become President in 2006. He also has been a member of the Norwin
Rotary since 1974 and is involved in the foundation committee of the
Westmoreland Association of Retarded Citizens.
The real estate business is still changing today. Because of the
recent boom in refinancing, a law background has become no longer necessary. But
