For every occasion, people are always looking for that special cake sure to

look any further than Gigi�s Signature Bakery. Gigi�s specializes in gourmet
cookies and cakes that promise to sweeten your taste buds.
Owner Gigi Thomas began Gigi�s Signature Bakery from a desire to change her
career. As a nurse, Gigi was unhappy and said she knew life was too short to not
do something she loved. Soon after this realization she began studying to be a
gourmet pastry chef and even today continues her training to remain
knowledgeable about gourmet baking.
The bakery does not have a storefront. All orders are placed via phone so Gigi
can complete the order personally. �I want everyone to be happy and satisfied.
You want it to be good,� said Gigi. �You want it to be the best. That�s our
focus.�
Gigi�s Signature Bakery started 12 years ago while Gigi was living in Ohio.
�Many of the recipes were created by me and I perfected them over time. I use
top-notch ingredients to give the highest quality products. I know the customers
enjoy them,� said Gigi. �We get compliments all the time.�
Gigi recently moved to Hempfield just one year ago when she married her husband
Randy. Together they care for five children. In addition to the bakery, Gigi
also teaches at the Westmoreland Career and Technology center on a substitute
basis.
Gigi only requires a one-day notice for an order. All orders are delivered or
can be scheduled for pickup.
�We love what we do. It�s a fun job and I am excited to go to work,� said Gigi.
Gigi�s Signature Bakery is known for its cookies and cakes, especially wedding
cakes. The cookies are all shippable. In fact, Gigi still has many of her
clients from Ohio because she ships their orders. Gigi�s claim to fame are her
cut-out cookies. For any occasion, Gigi can find the right cut-out cookie shape
for you.

At Gigi�s Signature Bakery there are many cookies to choose from, such as
Lady Locks, Caramel Cups, Small Nut Roll, Cheesecake, Nut Crescent, Lemon Drop,
Thumbprint, Bon-Bon, Cherry Bomb, Nut Cups, Coconut Jumble, Hershey Kiss, Peanut
Butter Cup, Waffle, and Buckeye. Cookies can be arranged in a basket and on
trays. The cut-out cookies can be fully decorated or topped with sprinkles or
sugar.
Another best-seller are Gigi�s cakes. Cakes can be made in a variety of flavors
such as Vanilla Bean, Triple Chocolate Fudge, German Chocolate, Devils Food, Red
Velvet, Golden Banana, Creamy Yellow, Strawberry, Neapolitan Marble, Traditional
Marble (or with color), Lemon, Pecan, Carrot, Pineapple, Orange Supreme,
Raspberry Chocolate, and Almond. In addition to these flavors there are fillings
that can be added such as Fruit - Raspberry, Strawberry, Apricot; Bavarian
Cream, Chocolate/White Mousse, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Fudge, and Cheesecake.
Last but not least, Gigi�s frosting choices include Gourmet, Butter cr�me,
Whipped, Almond, and Chocolate Butter cr�me. Gigi also offers specialty cakes.
The Florida Cake is your choice of cake flavor with the following toppings; All
Fruits - Honeydew, Cantaloupe, Pineapple, Mandarin Oranges, Berries, Kiwi,
Strawberries. The Pretzel Cake is your choice of cake flavor with pretzels,
strawberries and raspberries on the top drizzled with chocolate. And the
Margarita Cake is flavored to taste like a Margarita! The entire top of the cake
is adorned with skewers of fresh tropical fruit.
And cheesecake is also available in cherry, chocolate, brownie, pumpkin,
strawberry, fudge ripple, pineapple, burnt almond, and of course.....plain!
