S&T Bank, Evergreen Insurance Lend Support To Latrobe
Hospital Emergency Department Project
In keeping with its mission of diligently serving the community with
integrity and pride, S&T Bank, along with its subsidiary Evergreen Insurance
Associates, LLC, has donated $100,000 toward the Latrobe Hospital Emergency
Department renovation project.
Presenting the check to the Latrobe Area Hospital
Charitable Foundation, bank President Todd D. Brice noted
the importance of participating in community life as a good
corporate citizen.
Since 2004, we have opened
two banks in the Latrobe area and felt that with this
presence, we needed to demonstrate our support for the
community in which we do business, said Brice. Thanks to
Joe Imler, president of Evergreen Insurance and a board
member for Excela Health, we were introduced to the Latrobe
Hospital Emergency Department project and learned first-hand
about its vital importance and outstanding capabilities. It
was then our pleasure to get involved, particularly with a
project that affects so many in the Latrobe community and
surrounding areas.
On hand for the presentation
were James McHugh, chairman, Excela Health board of
trustees; Sandra S. Mellon, vice chairperson, LAH Charitable
Foundation board of directors and emergency department
fund-raising project co-chair; Douglas A. Clark, president,
Excela Health; John R. Mazero, MD, president, LAH Charitable
Foundation; Norma Samide, interim director, LAH Charitable
Foundation; Brice, and Pam Price, vice president, retail
sales Latrobe, S&T Bank.
We were looking for a
visible project where we could show our commitment to the
people of Latrobe, explained Price. We look at
opportunities in which we can serve our communities and got
behind this project, which is a state-of-the-art service
where people can feel secure and comforted at a time that
can be stressful and traumatic.
We are proud to welcome S&T Bank as a donor and partner
in our quest to advance the medical capabilities of our
local hospital, noted Dr. Mazero. At the same time, we
heartily thank Joe Imler and Evergreen Insurance, who have
long been supporters of the foundation and its efforts to
continually heighten the quality of care offered at Latrobe.
Our gratitude extends to both who know the value of top
quality medical care offered where its needed, locally.
The foundation is nearing
its goal of raising $4.5 million for the Emergency
Department project. For more information about the Latrobe
