Latrobe Dentist Receives Prestigious Lifelong Learning
and Service Recognition From Academy of General Dentistry
The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is pleased to
announce that Scott E. Learn D.M.D., of Latrobe, PA received
the prestigious Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition
during the AGD's largest Convocation ceremony, a
commencement celebration that recognizes AGD members
commitment to excellence in dental education.
Dr. Learn accepted this award as one of the youngest
dentists to attain this honor and one of only 33 ever to
receive it. The Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition is
presented only to qualifying Masters of the AGD, Mastership
is one of the most respected designations in dentistry.
Masters who receive this additional recognition have met the
highest criteria for professional excellence. To receive the
prestigious Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition, Dr.
Learn completed more than 1,600 hours of continuing dental
education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 550
hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques and more
than 100 hours of service to the community.
In addition to the AGD, Dr. Learn is a member of the
American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry, Academy of Sports Dentistry and American Society
of Forensic Odontology. Dr. Learn graduated from The
University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 1994 has practiced
dentistry in Latrobe area for 11 years. Dr. Learn is married
to Jennifer and has one son, Brandon.
