Nature Park Commons offers residents the best of both worlds, as it is conveniently located less than a mile from a wide array of local businesses, shops, restaurants and is only a stone’s throw away from Westmoreland Mall.

Individuals and couples in need of a new home due to life-style changes need to visit Nature Park Commons and see for themselves the difference a high quality, affordable and fun-loving environment can provide.  Unlike other assisted living facilities that charge for services in addition to rent, Nature Park Commons offers an all inclusive package of services, amenities and activities regardless of level of care needs.

Some of the services offered here at Nature Park Commons include: housekeeping & linen services; nutritious home cooked meals & snacks; 24 hour nursing & personal care services; medication management; on site physician visits; community transportation; storage; activities & events; cable television; local phone service and free internet access. In addition, residents can choose from fully furnished or non-furnished (bring your own from home!) semi- private or private rooms, and studios and suites. All rooms are equipped with private baths, microwaves, refrigerators, coffee pots, hair dryers, televisions, clock radios and telephones.

Boredom is rarely seen at Nature Park Commons as residents can freely access our heated outdoor swimming pool and patio area; Fitness Center; Lodge and Home Theater with flat screen TV and Gaming Station; as well as our Arts and Crafts Center. Our residence is equipped with wireless internet and computers are available for our residents to keep in touch via email with family members or to research areas of interest. A lending library with books and movies is also available to all residents at no extra cost. On any particular day, residents wake to an abundant menu of energizing activities from splashing in the pool, shopping, arts and crafts, games and exercising just to name a few. Our in-home event schedule is always changing so redundancy of activities is out of the question.

For those living a more active lifestyle, it is easy to get out and about at Nature Park Commons. Our staff provides transportation for personal errands and activities but elaborate excursions are also scheduled at Nature Park Commons. This summer alone, residents have enjoyed bowling, Pirate games, Steeler Training Camp, Idlewild Park, “Concerts in the Park”, fishing and the “Arts and Heritage Festival”.  Holidays are commemorated with special celebrations including candlelight dinners, buffets, carnivals, fiestas, luaus and other special events that all add to the color and spice of life at Nature Park Commons. Residents who choose not to participate in community events can simply cozy up with a good book or favorite movie in the Lodge.  At Nature Park Commons it is easy to find a group of friends to shoot pool, play air hockey or just relax together with a cup of coffee as the day winds down.

Nature Park Commons is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare under the requirements mandated in PA Code, Title 55, Chapter 2600 Personal Care Home.
