CAFFEINE, SUGAR, CIGARETTES
- What do they all have in
Common?
They all increase your
stress. We are often all
unaware of their negative
effects. When you see how
these substances affect
stress, you may find that
it's time to kick one or all
of these habits.
When you smoke a cigarette,
your body is stimulated. It
increases your heart rate by
10 beats per minute,
increases your blood
pressure and hormone levels.
Your body needs more
minerals and vitamins to
cope with the stimulation
which increases stress.
The costs of cigarettes to
you range from $1900.00 per
year for one pack to double
or triple that for heavier
smokers. Trying to quit is
difficult since it is now a
habit which is in the
unconscious part of the
mind. Hypnosis helps t allow
the conscious mind to work
with the unconscious part of
the mind to erase the urges
and triggers that are
associated with cigarettes,
cigars or snuff.
Sugar of any type stimulates
us and then leaves us with
less energy. Most sugar
products have little or no
food value. Eating sugar
contributes to weight gain
and can make you feel
depressed. This adds to your
stress level.
Caffeine, also a stimulant
speeds you up. It may cause
stomach problems, breast
lumps in women,
sleeplessness and increases
blood pressure. It can be
addictive, cause headaches
or decrease headaches.
Caffeine is in chocolate,
soda drinks, some
painkillers, and other
medicines. Take a healthy
step in 2009 and quit
smoking, or reduce your
intake of sugar or caffeine.
It can help you to manage
stress better and feel
healthier.
