Treasure Hunt
In Business Over
46 Years
Treasure Hunt is a family business that
has been serving residents of Greater
Pittsburgh for more than 46 years. At
one point, the business was in six
Gimbels stores, before consolidatingto
Kaufmann's then transitioning to
free-standing locations.
Our father, John R. Meridith, starte
dthe business in 1963, and my brother,
John, and I have worked for the business
since we were teenagers," said Jeannette
Meridith Dodd. "We are very happy to
carry on the family tradition."
Treasure Hunt's mission is to be the
best choice for people buying and
selling rate gold and silver coins, gold
jewelry, currency, and precious metals,
including .999 silver, gold, platinum
and sterling. Our large customer base
enables us to pay more than other
dealers, in-home gold parties, and
here-today-gone-tomorrow companies that
set up shop for a weekend. Beware of
companies that promise cash for sending
your valuable gold to them in their
mail-in envelopes!
We pay more than anyone...EVERYTIME!
Treasure Hunt has
one of the largest displays in the area
of coins and collecting supplies.
Sureveillance systems at all of our
locations helps ensure our facilities
are safe and secure.
Our helpful, honest and intelligent
consultants offer great experience for
our customers. At the Irwin location,
you will find the friendly faces of Tony
Kaminski, Francene Melocchi, John
Meredith, and Jeannette, Meredith Dodd.
Most of our business is from repeat
customers and referrals, and we have
built relationships that last a
lifetime.
Every Treasure Hunt employee has a heart
of gold - Please stop in and meet us!
