Disney announces new ship!

Disney Cruise Lines has announced their new ship, the Disney Dream will begin sailing in January, 2011. This ship will sail year round from Port Canaveral and sail 3, 4 & 5 night cruises to the Bahamas. This ship will include some new features such as a four-story water slide/roller coaster (the Aqua Duck), which will be the first of it's kind. There will be new areas for children as well as expanded options for adults. Castaway Cay (Disney's private island) will also be receiving some upgrades such as beachside cabanas. Reservations are now being taken for this exciting, new ship.

CTC – Certified Travel Counselor

Colleen Peterson is the only CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) travel agent in the Greensburg area, as listed on the Travel Institute’s Web Site. A CTC Certification is offered by The Travel Institute (www.thetravelinstitute.com/ctc.htm). Formerly known as the ICTA, the Travel Institute is a nonprofit organization that has been educating and certifying travel professionals since 1964.

ASTA – American Society of Travel Agents

Port of Call Travel is also a member of ASTA, The American Society of Travel Agents (www.astanet.com). ASTA is the world’s largest association of travel professionals, with over 20,000 members. ASTA has a record of fighting for consumer rights and ASTA member travel agents are required to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics.

Port of Call Travel is certified as a Disney Specialist, an Australia Specialist, and a Bermuda Specialist. Certified agents attend seminars, take online and video classes, and then pass a test. Specialist agents also visit the area in question, developing first-hand experience invaluable in planning the best vacation for you.

Each member of Port of Call Travel’s staff has attended the College of Disney Knowledge. Port of Call Travel is a preferred seller and an authorized planner. Colleen Peterson and her staff are one of only two Disney Specialists in the Greensburg Area, and Port of Call Travel is quickly updated on new sales and conferences.
