Specializations

CTC – Certified Travel Counselor

Colleen Peterson is the only CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) travel agent in the Greensburg area, as listed on the Travel Institute’s Web Site. A CTC Certification is offered by The Travel Institute (www.thetravelinstitute.com) . Formerly known as the ICTA, the Travel Institute is a nonprofit organization that has been educating and certifying travel professionals since 1964.

ASTA – American Society of Travel Agents

Port of Call Travel is also a member of ASTA, The American Society of Travel Agents (www.astanet.com). ASTA is the world’s largest association of travel professionals, with over 20,000 members. ASTA has a record of fighting for consumer rights and ASTA member travel agents are required to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics.

Port of Call Travel is certified as a Disney Specialist, an Australia Specialist, and a Bermuda Specialist. Certified agents attend seminars, take online and video classes, and then pass a test. Specialist agents also visit the area in question, developing first-hand experience invaluable in planning the best vacation for you.

Disney Specialist

Each member of Port of Call Travel’s staff has attended the College of Disney Knowledge. Port of Call Travel is a preferred seller and an authorized planner. Colleen Peterson and her staff are one of only two Disney Specialists in the Greensburg Area, and Port of Call Travel is quickly updated on new sales and conferences.

Australia Specialist

With her first hand knowledge of the attractions of this great country, Colleen can help plan the Australia trip that is right for you. To become a certified Australia Specialist, Colleen took courses and traveled to Australia. She continues to enhance her knowledge through additional courses and seminars.

Bermuda Specialist

Colleen Peterson has experienced first hand the tremendous beauty and great travel opportunities presented by this destination paradise. To enhance her knowledge, Colleen has attended seminars, taken courses, and returned to Bermuda time and time again.
